I didn't sleep good last night and went back to bed. I had Bible Study this morning (something I enjoy but sleep is a top priority for me) (doctor ordered and husband ordered) as I tend to get manic if no sleep for more than 3=5 days.
Most of my friends get this. I am not sure my current leader does but I will find out this week. I do not really care. Hopefully next year I will have a better leader. This may not work out for me but I hope it does as it is one thing that I do with my girl friend here. I feel that it is worthwhile and I am not doing it to be churchy. I really am interested in learning about the Bible.
We did our Thanksgiving shopping last night and it was not too painful at Winco. I imagine all of our Oregon members know about Winco. It can be painful and we have found that Monday night is our best option. We got a turkey for 26 cents a pound for a grand total of $3.28 for a twelve pounder. More than enough for us and also a pot of turkey soup. You had to spend $50 to get the $.26/lb rate. As you can well imagine, it did not take long to spend the $50. Our bill is averaging $120. At this time last year we were averaging $90. Unbelievable, especially when your income has been reduced.
Sorry for venting..smiley face. Just scarey at the cost of food and gas. I am very blessed and I know that.
I had my pre-op visit with surgeon and anesthesia today. It is a go pending primary care clearance because of recent infection. SD, I know you don't agree but I hope you will support me. This is not something I jumped into recently. I know you will. I think we are allowed to have respectful disagreements. This visit took all afternoon.
Tink, I am so sorry for your situation and will keep you in my prayers. Try to evaluate all of your options, hon. I can't imagine being without my children or my cat. Big hugs!
Mike, I am so sorry for the shit*ty day you had. Try to relax. You are in my prayers tonight. What an awesome protector you are of your family. Thank you for the definition of a tweeker. I never paid attention to my son. I live in the meth capital of the nation, I think. It is bad.
I have a three hour volunteer thing in the morning and then it is off to run last minute errands and come home to make my salads. Not sure where we are going to put it all. We need to freeze some food from last week.
I know I have missed most of you. I just scanned most of the posts but it looks like you all had fun. Laughter is good medicine.
I love and appreciate all of you. SD, thank you for being our fearless leader. Hope your son makes varsity. Just watch him closely for injries. They would press the kids to keep going on inuries and it really messed Mark up both physically and especially mentally. So glad LD has visions of a great future.
Everybody, tell the ones you love how much you do. Despite bleak economic times, we can and should count our blessings.
Till tomorrow, I pray sweet rest for all of us.
Good night and big hugs,
Melinda
Ps Tonna, thank you for setting up the chat. Ate the times posted yet?
