Getting ready to step out the door. Looks like a decent day weather-wise.
I hope everyone has a low pain day.
Hugs,
David
Can you tell I'm getting a bit attached??????
I have to run some errands this a.m., then start cooking for a very special person who'll be here soon!! Then later today, the student who's doing a Photo-Journal class project on Momma and pups, is coming late this afternoon. Busy day!! But first, gotta feed pups, give them meds, do our puppy duty (and doody, lol) this morning.!!!!
@ Cherry: Assault???? Have I missed a Thread?? If so, I'm so sorry. Hubby and I are facing the same thing!! After my son's visit home is over, we're going to give the no smoking things another try---- again!! I think we're going to try the E-ciggies to wean. The patch has never really agreed w/ me. I hope the e-ciggies will. If not, I guess will use nicorette gum.
Hugs to all, Will ck in later if possible.
Same old crazziness around here. Yesterday was a long hard day. I feel so tired and achy today. Wish I could just sleep but...not going to happen today. I have a 500 - 800 word essay to get going on. The last time I did an essay was....well I don't remember ever doing an essay but I am sure I did one at some point!! At least I can go at my own pace.
I hope everyone has a great/low pain day!!!
Autumn
Cherry, proud of you for quitting the cigs! Good to see your smiling face David. Nealy, that's awful about the twisters, but so awesome about Momma. You are sounding as if you just may keep her. What would DH think of that. Autumn, I think I would have a panic attack it has been so long since I have written an essay! Good luck!
I am off today to see the Neuro, the wonderful Neuro of Oz......again. I know Pauli, I never posted about the first time, lol. I will after this and I think it will explain things. I promise.
Sending hugs, love, and comfort.
Tonna
My body is screaming for me not to type so I am going to listen as I have no choice.
But wanted to check in and see what will unfold next.
Love you all!
Winter moved in with a vengance yesterday. The wind is really strong and it's horribly cold out. I had to run back in the house to grab something Victor forgot while we were waiting on the bus. Now I'm in full spazm mode. My hands and arms are twitchy and my legs are freaking out. Whenever I over do it, like running this morning, my whole body reacts by spazing. Now I'm a wreck and having alot of trouble typing.
It's not going to warm up any today so I'm going to stay curled up in my toasty blanket. I didn't sleep well again so I'll try to grab a nap as soon as my body stops freaking out.
We had a dusting of snow last night and chances today I think but it's that wind that's the worst of it. It just cuts right through you.
Good luck with the smokes Cherry, I'm cutting down but not really quiting. Just trying to save a few bucks.
Have a good one everyone,
Mike
I have been up since 5 am. Woke up because cpap and fan and anything on the power strip by my bed had turned off. I have a load of towels in the washer and did the dishes.
I am having my tomato soup that is my friend every morning. I can't eat a real breakfast yet as the area around the band is still swollen.
I am going to see the surgeon today to discuss whether or not I need a fill--where they put saline into the band to create more restriction. I think I am doing pretty well on my own but will see what he says. I have lost fifteen pounds in almost exactly six weeks since surgery.
I am beginning another Bible Study at my church. Will be doing the book of James with Beth Moore. I have been longing to do this one and am hoping to make some new friends.
I have a couple of errands to run then I will work for an hour at the food pantry. Then I will drive across town to see the surgeon. After that I will come home and get to stay home till tomorrow night when Bob plays again. I am going to consider the weather and make a decision as to whether of not I drive so that I can come home early. We have been having fog at night and I prefer not to drive in that.
Cherry, congrats on your decision to quit smoking and Nealy, I hope you all can do. My son has used the electric cigs before and he has quit smoking but is now using chew which is just as bad, if not worse.
David, I hope you have a good day work wise. Cherry, you too. Do you think you could color my hair if I flew in for the weekend? Stay warm and watch the forecasts and get home while the getting is good. Autumn, all the best on your paper! I could not write one if my life depended on it, I am sad to say. Nealy, your love and devotion to this momma dog and her pups has been a blessing to read. Tonna, I will be praying for you that you get some more answers, hon.
Well, Bob is up so it is back to bed for a couple of hours before I need to get up for good. Everybody have a good one and or make it a good one, including those who post after I do
I guess yesterday wasn't the anniversary of this group. If anyone knows the correct date, would you post it?
Much love and big gentle hugs to you, my friends.

Cherry, I hope the weather holds for you. If not, at least you won't be low on caffiene!
David, so glad to see you check in. I feel that you need a HUG my friend...so, here is a huge one from me. Please take care of yourself David, don't work through pain and tough it out...work with it and stop when you have had enough.
Nealy, I absolutely agree with Lindy...the momma and her babies have been a huge blessing to me each day. I really hope, in the deep of my heart, that you do keep Momma. I know you will do what you can and what is right. I think that she will save you as much as you have saved her. You know...God brought her to you for a reason.
Autumn, I LOVE to write papers. My friend used to bring her homework to my house. She would tutor me in math and I would whip up an 800 or more word essay with citations and references in about an hour! I always made the pres or deans list in college. I loved it. I hope you get a good grade and have fun writing it!
Mike, I feel you! The cold is here too and, it is doing a doozy on my body. I hope you are able to get some rest today and your body spasms calm down. You are an amazing man my friend, I just want you to know that.
Lindy, I am glad that you seem to be better. I am glad that you are doing well post surgery. The weather here sucks right now, icy winds and bitter cold. I hope you are getting it a little easier. I am so glad that I have not had (nor will I ever have) a lapband / bypass procedure. If I had to eat tomato soup--GAG!
ME>>>I am going back to sleep this morning. It was late last night because of my sons' wrestling tourney last night. His high school won the meet so, that was great.
I am really struggling right now, trying hard to stay out of a depression vortex. My pain is not great, my head is worse. However, I get to have coffee today with Miss Minnie so, it will be a great day regardless of where my head is.
HUGS to you my friends!!
Tonna, I want that full story regarding the Neuro. I am slapping you with my duck feathers for holding out on me/us! Naughty Naughty !
I hope things go well today for you and, I am keeping you in my thoughts/prayers.
Pauli my love, I am just praying for you and hoping that you are ableto get some hold on our pain levels right now. If there is anything that I can do, please let me know my little doggie friend. By the way, I love this new picture of Miss Maggie...she is such a beautiful little girl and so very cute. She brings me joy, just like her momma!
I woke up to snow flurries. Not much of anything, but i'll claim it. Not too many days ago it was 70! I am so craving summer. I want it to be around 85 low humidity.....all year. Am I really asking for much? LOL
I've been having a rough couple of days. My sinuses and ears have been super congested. I thought i'd tryed some baby oil in my ears just a little on a Q-tip and they were so swollen I couldn't even get the Q-tips in them. Finally I found a small cap and put it in that and could pour it in, but it took forever! I made myself some onion soup and finally they opened up some. Remember the onion soup it helps! Just sit the bowl or cup on your chest so you are breathing in the heat too.
My body is beating me up so i'm not going to address each of you today. Just know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Many blessings,
Toni

Bf and I had some errands to run today. I stopped into work and dropped off my note from the doctor yesterday. I got a firm back-to-work date of January 23rd, to start my ease-back program. HR was not optimistic and said I'm still not guaranteed a position at that time. depends if they have a project that can accommodate the schedule. I don't' know how that will work out with insurance. According to my 'guy' they are required to take me back but because my employer doesn't due part time positions they might try to insist I have to go back full-time from the beginning. I don't know if they can do that but I will let my insurance agent work that out with them. I'm kinda excited to go back and see everybody and do some real work again, though I don't expect it to work out. The likelihood of me getting to the point of full time before having to quit in pain is not good and I told HR that. At this point it doesn't matter to me one way or the other I just need to which it will be... back to work or permanent disability.
I have my grandson tonight, it is mommy and her bf's anniversary so I agreed to take him. It was a horrible evening, If I didn't have bf and his kids to help I'd never be able to keep him. There were a couple times where I could barely walk I was in sooo much pain. I'm still waiting for a call back from my pm doc, he's out till monday now. Seems I had more to say but this is long enough, tomorrow is another day. Hugs all,
Lisa
