good morning, you know I have no problem sending u my address
Cherry , I hope and praying they figure out wants going on with you.....
Manny , Good Morning Bird Lady....lol
Joy just left for work and the boys are up and ready for a day off from school.
Eric is 10 years old today so we'll be having his birthday celebration when Joy gets home from work. We still haven't resceduled his party that had to be canceled because of the dog attack but I think we're shooting for the weekend after this weekend.
I feel better so far this morning. The running around I had to do yesterday really messed me up and I was feeling really bad last night. I hope I'm finally on the mend, it seems like I haven't felt decent for over a month now.
The site was still giving me problems all day yesterday. I attempted a journal entry but that didn't work out and I was pretty wee weeed when it disapeared on me after spending around a half hour on it.
I'm just going to hang out with my boys today and take it as easy as they'll let me.
Have a great day everyone,
Mike
Manny I still love oatmeal and eat it quite often for breakfast. There's just something soothing about it, its comfort food for me I guess. Guess what I'm having for breakfast? lol
11LY, goodmorning, hope you have a nice day.
Mike - Happy birthday to Eric, double digits! Bf's daughter just turned ten and she was so excited to moving into the double digits. Hope he has a great birthday day. Rest as much as you can and try to enjoy the day off with the boys
Me - I just woke up and I'm still in bed. My back is on fire, literally it feels burning hot right in the small of my back. I babysat last night so that might have something to do with it. But he's so darn precious I just can't say no. My daughter sent me a really nice text a couple nights ago."Steve and I both want to thank you for everything you do for us. We wouldn't be able to survive without you, you're the best mom anyone could ask for and we all love you very much >3" She went on to say how they appreciate even more knowing how much pain I'm in and I do it all anyway. And when they get on their feet with money and a car they will repay me and be my taxi. It was just so nice to hear that and to know they appreciate everything I do for them. Its easy to imagine that they just take me for granted, now I know they don't.
This is my first post of the day so we'll see if DS is still messed up, fingers crossed......
Hugs and peace,
ssLisa
DS seems to be treating w/ a little more kindness this morning so perhaps I can post!!
We're starting to fall into a little routine as we've added our new Pack member, Duke. He's still staying in the den, inside the puppy corral while he recovers from his Pitt Bull run-in. Although he seems better every day, I hope to get him into see the mobile Vet today. I still would like for her to take a look at him and, if needed, give him some Anti-B's.
Friday, I plan to go w/ another Rescue Org. member and bath dogs at Animal Control who will be up for adoption on Saturday. I hope my body cooperates and allows me to go and to do the work. Often, these only have one shot at a home before there time is up at A.C. and they're put down. So they need the chance to put their best paw forward!!! UGH We don't have a no-kill shelter here. I know it will break my heart but this is no time for me to be a Wuss!! I have a chance to make a difference. Eventually, I'm going to be going to the A.C. and assess dogs for C.A.R (Caldwell Animal Rescue) to Rescue so this will be a good start .
Does anyone here have an "in" w/ the North Shore Animal League?? They're the best in the Rescue world and send vans down to NC to rescue dogs in high kill counties. I'm trying to line up a Partnership w/ them but so far, no luck.
Mike, I hope your family is starting to recover from the loss of your pet and the trauma of that awful event. You did the right thing, though I know it hurt. You're wise to wait a bit but not skip Eric's birthday party. I'm sure he needs a celebration and a good memory for his 10th Birthday!!
Cherry, Manny and 11 L.Y. - I like oatmeal but for some reason seldom make it. However, I do prefer the Muffins or Cin. Buns. LOL Cherry, if my stylist served home made muffins, I might go more often. I haven't had a cut or style in over a yr. Awful, huh?? At 60 yrs old, I'm wearing my hair below my shoulders. I know I'm too old for that, but DH likes it and so do I. Figured if Kirsti Ally can get by w/ it, so can I. LOL But I do need to have my ends trimmed.
Manny: how's that new Feathered 'Baby doing??
I'm so excited over getting our Porch finished and having a fenced-in area. Its going to be much larger than I expected, encompass some of our box gardens (stay away deer!!) and, in addition to giving the canine babies more outside time and protection, it will allow us to do more training work w/ them. Hurrah!!!!
More good news. After 2 yrs of trying, my sister got a job!!! I pray this will help her get back "on the wagon" and give her the self-esteem to stay on it.
@ Kate - I hope the little Yard Ape who hit you got his little butt jumped by his parents and the principle!! I still can't get over what kids get by with today!!!!!
David: If you're on here reading, know that we love and miss you!!!!!!
Hugs to all and hoping you have a good day regardless of pain levels!!
I PROMISE I'm not an inattentive self-centered butthead......I do read every post and reply.....
I just cann ot keep up with individual responses........I'd like to blame it on pain and illness.....but, honestly, I think it's an IQ deficiency.:-) :-) :-)
I am so darned glad DS seems to be playing nice again.....I've missed you all soooooo very much.
Just hugs and hugs to everyone.....jc..............and hugs......
I'm not doing well lately. I spent a couple of days away, visiting family, going to a funeral, doing errands, going to appointments, and did too much walking and now I'm paying for it. I have one more appointment tomorrow for acupuncture and then I will just spend however many days I need to recover from this. It's a setback and I'm upset and feeling discouraged. No energy, barely want to move at all. Just taking a shower and washing my hair was hard work.
I feel negative energy is enveloping me. I need to focus on some positive stuff. Like the warm sunny day that is happening out there and my cat, and my peaceful place.
Hugs to everyone!
Ama
I also make oatmeal bake (mmmmm, they are so good, recipe to follow) which I serve warm with fresh peaches or frozen fruit and a little 1/2 & 1/2.
Anyway, I have to take little duck to the doc today for her appt regarding a potential auto immune issue. I have been having her keep a pain/ache diary for the last couple of weeks. Poor kid has barely been to school in the last two weeks.
My pain is high today, especially in my hips/buttox area. I am trying hard to stay positive--though I feel more out of it. I don't know, I just have to keep on truckin through the day I guess.
HUGS to you all my friends.
I am here at work, not having a great day painwise.
I have been struggling lately. I see my PM doc next week, and I am going to present him with my situation.
I might be depressed. I made a list of positives and negatives in my life and the negative is about 3-4 times longer than the positive.
Anyway, deep down I know everything will be OK.
I love this thread and all who are here.
Big Hugs to all, David.
I can get on here today!
Cherry wow you started it with the oatmeal! I'm not a breakfast person so...I have my oatmeal for supper!
Manny I have to stay away from the Hostess I'll gobble up a box of anything made by them in no time flat!
Susie so good to have you back with us. You need to share some of your trip with us! We wanna know.
Mike enjoy your day with your boys. Hopefully it works out for all of you!
Lisa what an awesome letter from your daughter! That had to have just made your world spin around! I hope you find something to take that burning out of your back.
Nealy I so feel for these animals. I always wished I could take them all. This is why it's so important for ppl to get their pets spayed and neutered.
Jan we understand. As long as you're here that's what is important!
Ama it sounds like you are in need of some serious rest! Take a load off and give yourself a break! Take a bubble bath and spoil yourself. Don't think about any of that negative stuff!
Superduck good luck to littleducky on her appt. Prayers that you recoup from all that you have been doing and things that need done. Good sleep to you!
David great to hear you are going to your PM next week and are going to put it all out there to him. Might be depressed? Hmmm! Yes things will be ok, but that famous sauce didn't make itself did it? It took work! I keep a positivity journal (no negativity allowed). I can back off of it sometimes, but then I return to it. It really helps to focus on the positive things in our lives and to see them written down.
Good day and night to all and many hugs,
Toni
I have tried to post several times today and not having much luck. I have a support group at church at 7 and my son wants food but I am not offering much so hopefully he will say forget it.
Today has been good just busy--got my umpteenth crown and schedule another. I guess I should be grateful and I am...both my parents had lost their teeth by this age...I also went to opthmalogist and pressure isn't as high as it was two weeks ago but is still high--more drops and return in a month. I have to put it all on my phone so I remember them all.
I am thinking of all of you tonight. Will check in tomorrow. Blessings and hugs to you all. I hope everyone has a pain free evening and rest.
Melinda
Pain wise I am better.
