Thanks for sharing. Again I can't wait for Crystal, my daughter, to read this.
I had mine when Ari was still in the hospital. (She was 8 weeks preemie) I had just finished nursing her, and was holding her. She was content and happy. All of a sudden, I got this overwhelming feeling that shook me to the very core...that she wasn't going to be around for long. I didn't know how/why she was going to die, I just felt it with every fibre of my being. I cried and cried, till the doctors pried her out of my arms, and told me to go home and get some rest. I cried all the way home, and cried myself to sleep. The morning Ari died, I knew something was horribly wrong before I even seen her. Those feelings rushed back to the surface. I get feelings like that with my new baby sometimes, and it scares me to death. I think it's probably more psychological now...think my mind is just relating one baby to the last baby (he was born on what would have been Ari's first birthday...also 8 weeks early, and the first month of his life pretty much mirrored hers to the day and hour) At least I pray that's all it is~!
I'm not sure what I feel about these premonitions. Is it God's way of allowing us to prepare more? Not that anyone can be prepared for a loss this tragic, but would it be worse to not have those feelings, and then go through it? Or is it that our bodies and our souls are so connected with our babies, that we subconsiously know that something just isn't right?
I have had premonitions since Nick died. I will share the good ones, but not the bad ones. Some have come true, some have not.
Right before we lost Nick my husband had a nightmare, but he had our other child in his dream. I think his was a premonition too, but his did not come through totally clear.
Then out of nowhere a big thunderbolt came...this child will die..sorry but you cannot keep him. I was shocked and suddenly i cried, I cannot explain what happened but I knew he would be taken away. I cried and cried and begged God even though I did not understand..please no please let me keep him. I cried and prayed and then it was all taken away. I mean it was strange...all my tears were taken away and then I felt peace. Peace like I had never felt before it wiped out everything before and made it all ok.
I woke up and dismissed it, it must have been a dream a vision something not real. But when I looked at him 2 days later he had a look in his eye which said I wont be here long. I rang my doctor and took him to the GP but there was nothing wrong. 5 days before he died I Took him to a GP I was told nothing wrong - anxiety from Mother! 4 days before I got a GP to come to the house - I was told he was fine and dont ever ask for a GP again to be a call out when nothing wrong. Then he died. I knew he would. Everything went like clockwork like it was meant to be. Very strange. I was told he would go and there was nothing I could do. It was God or the Holy Spirit. There is no other explanation .xxx
