Stress Management Support Group
Stress management defines stress as a person's physiological response to an external stimulus that triggers the "fight-or-flight" reaction.Stress can be overwhelming. This community is for best practices in stress management.
When someone is being asked not to do something (in this case talking loudly) and they reply by saying that the requesting party does the same, the best response I know is to say something like, "if I do what I'm asking you to stop doing, then I welcome you, at that time, to ask me to stop. Right now, I have a client on the phone, and noises that I've made in the past which I was not brought to my attention as bothersome is irrelevant".
Some people would rather complain than seek solutions. Chances are, on some unconscious level, this person resents that she was unable, for whatever reason, to address with you what you were able to address with her. And she may also just be the type who would rather have conflict. Don't play. You can decide to be better than her. :-)
i took my oldest daughter out to his house tonight to see him, i went infor a couple minutes but thats it, i get a phone call just now its him screaming at me at 12:30 am, saying why was i in his upstairs, i said i was not, he yelled more saying he knows i was up there and i robbed him, i did nto rob him nor was i upstairs, he gave my daughters 50 dollars each for their birthdays and their report cards, so i am guessing he does no remember doing that. so i reminded him and he screamed more, he told me he hasnt taken his pills in a long long time, so he is delusional, i just cant deal with it, he is someone who emotionally abused me as a child and i am not taking it as an adult
