I am currently a grad school student and I feel your pain! I work full time and attend grad school full time. It is very overwhelming!! This may sound silly, but self care is very important. If you find something that you do to just make YOU happy. Something such as taking a day to yourself where you can go to the movies with your friends, coloring in coloring book, going to the spa, going for a walk. whatever you have that can make you happy might help motivate you. since you are currently doing things that you see are draining and stressful, doing that activity that makes you happy might help you destress and get back on track. Self care is very important to anyone in ANY profession.
the best thing that i have heard, that many people might have over used is, think about being on a plane. When you are traveling with others, you ALWAYS put your air mask on FIRST!!!
** Take care of YOU first, the rest will be okay!
1.The first question I have is do you absolutely have to work 4 days a week? If you have bills, it's understandable. But, I let my manager know no more than 15 hours a week. I simply cannot go to school 16 hours a week and work the typical 20+ hours in a retail store. School comes first, so cut back on the hours at work if you can.
2. The thing that keeps me going is the goals I have for my life. You have to be pretty committed to college to have the strength to finish. What do you want out of college? Are you studying for a dream job, or are you getting education needed for a raise? Remember what your purpose is.
3. Just tell yourself the more you self discipline yourself the closer you are to your degree. You can do it if you put your mind to it. Don't quit on a dream because of the time it will take. The time will pass anyway! -Earl Nightingale :)
