This community is dedicated to those who have been impacted by a stillbirth. A stillbirth occurs when a fetus which has died in the uterus, during labor, or during delivery exits a woman's body. I can't bring myself to say her name when I talk about her. I always call say , the baby or just say her or she. When ei saying her name be easy her name is Layla Anne. Even writing it pains me :,(
It took me 32 years to say my Angel's name. The reason was that I had a very delayed grief reaction - she died in 1977. Layla Anne is a beautiful name. You will know when the time is right to say her name. Perhaps a a first step would be to say My Baby, rather than the baby. Another thing you might do is to write her name many times. or create a frame with her name in to display in your home.. Could you choose some special people to say her name to? Saying Layla's name will be a way of honouring her. But there are many other ways you can honour Layla, so think about doing other things until you can do to honour her.
