Stillbirth Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have been impacted by a stillbirth. A stillbirth occurs when a fetus which has died in the uterus, during labor, or during delivery exits a woman's body. For help and support, share your experiences and learn how others coped. Don't forget that you are not alone.
I believe that you can do everything as long as your mind is in it,positive thinking. As for injection, why don't you ask BF if he can't step in if you can't,you are in this thing together. You can quit smoking and drinking for the period of 9 months as long as you want and thinking that you are doing it for the baby. How did you cope the last time you were preggies?
Age shouldn't matter according to me,you are both old and responsible. As for university,I will help by asking you questions,ow to you plan to juggle school and baby, will you take time off after baby arrives? If you have a plan regarding these and you will cope, why not.
I know this is hard. I lost Madeline in December. Starting in January I was interviewing high risk doctors and researching like crazy. I knew I couldn't think about ttc again until I had answeres and a good game plan that made me feel more hopeful than hopeless. I finally found a great doctor that I like and trust and I feel great about how he wants to handle my next pregnancy.
My husband and I started trying again in June. I am currently 13 weeks pregnant. Be sure you are mentally and emotionally ready for pregnancy. Be aware that there are risks involved, but I think being aware of those risks, having a great game plan, and being ready to take the chance will help you get through it. There is a pregnancy after stillbirth support group that is a great source of support.
As for the drinking and smoking. I think that will all go hand in hand with being ready to try again. If your not ready to give it up, than just wait until you are ready to give it all up and give pregnancy another chance.
I think your feelings are completely normal. I wish I could make you feel better. You and BF are in my thoughts and prayers.
Many Hugs,
Jennifer
Also there's a pregnant after stillbirth group that is great. Id recommend it even if your just trying for a baby.
