We lost Layla full term during labor on 26th march 12. My husband and I have become increasingly distend. We have two living children 4 and 7 yo. My 7 yo daughter is struggling a lot with the loss of her sister and I'm trying to help her as much as I can. My daughter and I see a counsellor weekly.
My husband on the other refuses to see anyone about it. He gets home from work smokes and drinks, just burying it. This has gone on for 18 months.
I've tries so hard to help him but he just doesn't want help. I'm at breaking point and don't no what to do any more. It's like we are just two friends living together that argue once a day.
Has anyone else been through this?

Hey KezzB, I'm sorry that you have to go through this, it's the last thing you need on top of grieving the loss of your daughter. I don't have much of an answer for you. I'm sure you've tried to talk to him about this plenty, right? Does he ever show his feelings/emotions about your daughter (even after drinking)? Do you have a close friend or relative that could have a heart to heart with him (his bf, brother, father)? Or maybe you both can go out alone and enjoy one on one time, so he's not home drinking and dwelling on anything...maybe a little release and reconnection between you two?

I know how this situation can wreak havoc on relationships. I find it a bit difficult to be grieving so much and mind my relationship. We are both dealing with this pain very differently.

I hope you get some ideas and one works for your husband and you. I'll be crossing my fingers for you. Xo
