Take a deep breath. Did you tell your husband what you wrote here? Maybe he needs to know that all he needed to do was hug you. Explain that you and he handle your grief differently and that you need to know that he "cares" even if he can't show it the same way you do.

Men are able to move on more quickly than we are. We carried that baby and bonded with it. They don't have the same ties we do. Make sure you let him know that this is something that will not go away overnight for you and that if he's patient time will heal you, but that you need him to hold you and comfort you once in a while just "because."

I haven't really talked to him today. He's being distant now and I feel like we're going to fall apart over this. I'm a horrible communicator and so is he. I don't know how to bring it up now that we're not hardly looking at each other.

This often happens with my husband and I lately... Honestly, what helps is exactly what Rochelle43 said: explaining why I acted the way I did (and apologizing if appropriate). You might be surprised by his response to that.

My husband is coping by trying to live normally...it doesn't work for me, but it helps him keep it together at work, etc. I try to understand that it doesn't mean he is "over it" but just that he is processing in a different way.

I agree with those who have said to talk about it with your husband. Take the time to explain yourself to him. You might be surprised at his response. When my husband finally started to open up about his feelings I was shocked that we were more on the same page than I thought. He had been having the same emotions and feelings, but was just expressing them in a different way. The worst thing you can do is let these incidents build up with no communication.

What is happening as you can see from other mommas is normal. I work in the mental health field and when we lost Matthew in October 2013 in a moment of calm we sat down and looked at each other and refused to let his passing define us or drive us apart. It is not fair to allow such a precious angel break us apart and carry that weight. I started a blog which my husband reads. Its easier for me to get it out when I can just type and not have to look at him and share my pain. Keep talking to your husband. If you can't I suggest emailing him. It may allow you to stay on your points and say all you want to. Your husband may walk away because he does not know what you need. Please don't be scared to tell him. We as women often think that men know what we need and they don't. I used to think if I model what I want he will know, he doesn't. In the calm of the storms I have to tell him directly that on the days my pain makes no sense hug me close and know I am in pain. You can work through this!!!

I grieved immediately and my husband was the strong lets keep the house in order person. Then when I started to feel some strength back he was able to feel his feelings. I'm grateful we grieved in different times because both stopping completely in time would have been even more devastating. It's not been a 50/50 its been a 10/90 relationship. Sometimes I can be the 90 to give and sometimes he is.
