The Star Legacy Foundation is hosting a dinner and presentation by Jason Collins, MD of The Pregnancy Institute on Friday, July 30, 2010 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Longmont, Colorado at 6:00 pm. We would love to have you join us for this very informative presentation entitled "Stillborn But Still Born: Emerging Evidence in the Prevention of Stillbirth". The Star Legacy Foundation will also be presenting our new awareness campaign - See Me, Feel Me which encourages cord and placental diagnostic ultrasounds at around 28 weeks and also kick counting.

On Saturday, July 31st the Star Legacy Foundation will host the 5th annual "Golfing for Garrett" golf benefit. This 4 person scramble will be held at the Thorncreek Golf Club in Thornton, Colorado. Shotgun start is at 7:00 am with lunch to follow.

I am so upset that I am not going to make the tournament and the dinner. I would have absolutely loved to see Dr. Collins face to face and hear him speak. If it wasn't my son's birthday that same weekend, I would be there. You guys are really doing great things.

All DS members: If you can make this fundraiser, give a donation of any sort, or have the privelage to attend the dinner with Dr. Collins, I so encourage you to. We have all experienced the most tragic loss and this organization is trying to make the necessary changes needed to help prevent more Moms from enduring this profound pain.

Thanks Stacy! We warmly welcome registrations for the dinner and the golf benefit but if you cannot attend please consider a cash or silent auction donation. We also would love to hear from any moms, dads or grandparents that have suffered the loss of a dearly wanted child to stillbirth - we need your voice to help us get the word out about the things that can be done to protect pregnancies from these terrible tragedies. The Star Legacy Foundation will soon launch an awareness campaign - and we need your help to get the word out.
