Stillbirth Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have been impacted by a stillbirth. A stillbirth occurs when a fetus which has died in the uterus, during labor, or during delivery exits a woman's body. For help and support, share your experiences and learn how others coped. Don't forget that you are not alone.

I think one of the hardest things about this devastating journey is the way the pain can 'ambush' you, just when you think you're regaining control of your emotions. The day my baby died remains the worst day of my life; when it happened, I naively assumed that things couldn't get any worse and I would follow a steady upward trajectory thereafter: towards happiness and a return to my "before" life. The reality was that I didn't hit rock bottom for another 5 months, by which time I had no physical or emotional reserves left and I knew that my "before" life had gone forever and I would have to create a new and different one from ground zero.
Babyloss is huge and the journey that follows is not clear or straightforward; it is complicated and achingly lonely. But I believe that the support of a community of fellow travellers can share and 'spread' the burden: other angel mums can lift your spirits when even your closest loved ones can't.
I hope it helps you to reconnect with all of us - peace and hugs, Lee
