I went to se a new OB and I like him so far, he came highly recommended and is friends with one of the doctors for whom I work. There's something that is really bugging me though, the medical assistant that took my vitals was very nice but made some comments that I wish she would have kept to herself. When she asked me how many pregnancies I"ve had I told her 3. Then she asked, "So how old are your kids?" I told her I only had one alive, had onem/c and one stillbirth. She was very compassionate, but then she said," I know how hard it is I had two early miscarriages." Are you kidding me? I know m/c are hard and I don't want to offend anyone by trivializing them, but to me a stillbirth was many, many times more devastating than my m/c. Then she tells me with a cringing look, "My niece lost a baby at 6 months and she had to push it out after it it was dead." WOW!! Does she not work at an OB office? I realize that stillbirths are not an everyday occurrence but come on! I think such employees should have at least some kind of knowledge on the subject and maybe some kind of training.

Anyways those comments replay in my ind and I want to call the manager to complain or just bring it up so it doesn't happen again. What would you guys do in this situation?
