Stillbirth Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have been impacted by a stillbirth. A stillbirth occurs when a fetus which has died in the uterus, during labor, or during delivery exits a woman's body. For help and support, share your experiences and learn how others coped. Don't forget that you are not alone.
All of her things are still in the dresser. I also scanned all of the ultra sound pictures because the get ruind as time goes by. Those pictures are also in the dresser. Also the camera that I used at the hospital to take some pictures of her are in the dresser. I can say that everything that remindes me of her is in the dresser. I dont pressure myself in doing stuff that Im not ready for. I have been told that I should do it when Im ready.
It is a big step to pack up stuff. And I don't think theres a timeline. I think it's good advice to just do it when your ready. Hugs and love, Jessie.
And then.... one day, bit by bit i used all those things again. Not for me, i cant have anymore, but for my grandaughter, who was born 18 months later. It hurt. But it was also healing to use it again. So dont throw it away if you plan to have more. I did find it healing to use it again, and it wasnt weird either
We decided to leave it all in her room because it has become a place we can go and remember her. Also, we plan on having another as soon as we can. If the time comes and we find out we are having a boy we will pack her things away for when we do have another girl who will use it all. Otherwise it is going to stay in the nursery.
