Hi everybody,
I havent been on for awhile and I feel bad about it but sometimes just coming on this site and reading all the sad stories just brings back memories and opens the wound a little bit. I hope to "get it together" soon and come back on and help new angel moms that come onto the site but right the last couple of weeks Ive needed a little break. Not that Ive forgotten what happened but I just needed some time away. Anyways, back to my question. Has anybody had to use provera to get their period started after the stillbirth? I thought I had my period 5 weeks afterward but it was just one day of light spotting, I was due last week again and I got the cramps but no period. I had a pelvic ultrasound done and there is some clot or something left in the uterus so the doctor wants me to go on provera to get the hormones going again and cause a period. I also asked about going on the pill to regulate my periods until we start to try again. Has anybody done this or did you just stay off all birth control until you were ready? We are not thinking of trying again until Nov. or Dec which would be around 6 months since losing Quinn. I was only off the pill for a month each time when I got pregnant with my 3 kids so I am hoping there are no problems or a long wait next time we try. Thanks for any input. Take care everybody.

I thought I might have to use Provera, but I got AF last
thursday, which for me was 6wks and 2 days since my D&E.
I would personally say that I might not bother going on the pill if you are planning on trying in the next few months, simply because of the "rule of thumb" you hear regarding that waiting 3mos period after b/c. However, if it works best for you, than of course you should go for it.

I did go on BC after my loss and went off to ttc but this was mostly done so that I could control my cycles and get the testing done that my RE wanted to do.
