i had my first period at 8.5 weeks. it was so heavy and i felt like s***. i felt a bit wonkey too.
hope yours comes soon, but try not to worry, it will happen when it happens. There are no set times for this to happen really, remember your body is re balancing hormones etc.

I had my baby on May 26th and got my period 7/11. It was also very heavy yesterday.

My son was born on May 10. I bled for two weeks after the birth and then started my period on June 18. It was heavier than a normal period and lasted longer too (it stopped June 25).

I just finished with my first period. I gave birth on June 4th and got my period on June 7th. My cycle was like clockwork before getting pregnant so we'll see if that happens again.

Some people try before they get their periods back.
It took me 7.5 without about 3 weeks of lochia. I know people who got it back right after 4 weeks and some who took up to 13...so it really just depends on a lot of different factors.
Take care of your body, your mind, and your heart and that's all you can do...good luck.

I was worried too about this. I had my son on 12/15/10 and got my period 9 weeks and 4 days after. Of course this has been the most traumatic experience of my life, so it could have taken a while to come because of stress.

Everyone is different. I got mine 5 weeks after losing Brendan. It was the WORST period I ever had. In fact, it refused to go away until my doc put me on some progesterone supplements to regulate me. It worked. I've had two periods since then and while both were heavier than before Brendan, they have been "normal." Don't stress- it will come back once your body is ready.

Mine came back really quick - I had stopped bleeding w/in 7 - 10 days and got a period 3 weeks after that - my 7 week appt was last wednesday and doc was able to confirm I was mid cycle - my 1st was really light and lasted 5 days and had all the normal"period" stuff too. Everybody is different though, just be patient with yourself, and as hard as it is to do, try to relax, good luck to you.

It has been 6 weeks today since I had my son and yesterday my doc gave my Prometrium to take to kick start my cycle so thatvwe can ttc in September....he said okay to ttc after 2 cycles. I took the first dose yesterday and started today...don't know if it is because of the drug or if my body was about to start anyway. I am anxious to get pregnant again though so am glad I am finally having my period. The sad thing is it makes me thing that I am getting rid of Caleb's room since this is the first one since he died. : (

Didn't get mine for 4 months. I had a lot of complications though after delivery of my daughter. Several procedures and a surgery. Good Luck. Don't worry if you don't get it right away. I delivered our Angel on March 16th and my first period came April 22nd... it lasted for 2 months before we finally managed to force it to stop with birth control. It was a nightmare!

I always had irregular periods and assumed after having my daughter (4/7/11) I would go back to that. I went in and got a blood test to see where my levels were. My progesterone was really low so I was prescribed topical progesterone(took it 6/1-6/9). I ovulated 10 days later (they didn't think that would happen). I was actually able to feel when I was ovulating this time which never had happened before.
