So last night, I finally had the confidence after working on me these last few weeks to confront my husband. I basically told him that if he can't commit to me 100% and if he never wants to try again for another baby, then we need to go our separate ways so that I can have a shot at starting over again. It's not easy at my age. I'm 41 and have been with my husband for 6 1/2 years. I love him dearly, however recently he admitted he was not over his ex and that she totally messed him up emotionally and psychologically. He also admitted that half of him wanted to stay and half of him wanted to walk away. He became upset and couldn't believe that I couldn't just accept things the way they were. I told him it wasn't fair to me. I told him that i loved him dearly but that he needs to let the past go and move forward to allow himself to be completely happy. I truly want to try again and I honestly want it with my husband but if we're not on the same page then it's not going to work. So his last words to me were, "So either I get you pregnant, or I walk out." I think he's missing the point. I tried to explain again that I wanted and needed him to commit 100% and not just half that and I expressed that i wanted a baby and especially with him. I told him I couldn't just wait around for him to decide so I had to decide. He got upset and said he had some thinking to do and walked out.So I guess I won't know what happens until I get home from work. I am expecting him to have packed his things or will speak to me tonight. I have been so depressed and saddened by the thought of losing him especially when we just lost our daughter but I have to keep telling myself that I deserve better. Someone who truly wants to be with me and is fully committed to me. Need some comforting angel mommies.

So sorry for what you are going through, the loss of a child can put a big strain on a relationship, my husband and I have lost 3 babies in the last 3 years, after the first and second losses he went to his ex for 'emotional support' because he said I was only thinking about myself and not being there for him because I was so consumed in my own grief and that she listened to him and he actually told me he still considered her his best friend, this completely blind sided me and we actually almost got divorced over this, after talking and some counseling and him changing his phone number and vowing not to reach out to her for emotional support we worked it out and our relationship is better than ever. We lost our little girl 7 weeks ago and are both helping each other through the grieving process. My husband has also always been very standoffish after each loss about ttc, he always says he wants to but when it comes time to actually try he avoids it, I finally just confronted him about it and he just said he is scared to go through it again but had never known how to tell me that without upsetting me, I've explained to him that I don't want to wait any longer than we have to to ttc again because at this point I feel like time is ticking and he finally understood me last night and agreed but this is something we go through after every pregnancy, he doesn't feel the urgency that I feel to be pregnant again. My point with all this (and I apologize for babbling on) is that everyone handles grief and their partners grief differently and I'm sure in time you will work it out but I would make sure the ex situation is resolved because that is not healthy for your relationship, I've been in the same place and I understand how painful it is to know your husband isn't over his ex especially while you are dealing with the loss of your child. You deserve for him to be completely committed. I hope it all works out for the best and I'm here for you.

Thank you Angel Mommies. It has been one tough and torturous road I have traveled. It hasn't ended for me yet. I now need to make the decision whether to end my relationship. I know what I want and I need to make that decision soon so I can begin the process of moving on. You guys are amazing. I appreciate every single one of you.
