Stillbirth Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have been impacted by a stillbirth. A stillbirth occurs when a fetus which has died in the uterus, during labor, or during delivery exits a woman's body. For help and support, share your experiences and learn how others coped. Don't forget that you are not alone.
I lost my sweet baby, Isaiah David, 3 weeks ago. I found out at my routine 32 week ultrasound that his heart had stopped beating, and at that moment the world stopped for my husband and I. After a physically easy delivery, my son was born at 11:39a on February 3rd. The two hours we spent holding him, tracing our fingers along his folds - trying to remember with our fingers his tiny features and saying, hello, I love you and goodbye far too close together, were the most powerful moments of my life.
I am so heartbroken. Though I never got to hear him cry, I fell madly in love with Isaiah the moment I laid eyes on him, and I know I buried a piece of my heart with him in the cemetery.
I have been so blessed to be surrounded and loved by my friends, family, church community, and most of all my amazing husband, and I am so thankful for this board. From the few posts I have read, you are an amazing group of women. I hate that we have such tragedy in common, but I am so blessed as I know you will help carry me through this.

I lost my daughter, Makenna at 23 weeks, Dec 19/09.
I am also blessed with a huge support system. I found it took a bit of a crash around 6 weeks though as that support system kind of "tired"(for lack of a better word) of my sad story. I can't say I blame them. There was a time I may have felt the same.
But the women here fill the gap where my support system falls short. I can vent in a way here that is "safe" and authentic. Between the 2, I feel like I am moving... slowly & painfully, but moving.
Any help I can be, or a listening ear - just let me know. Prayers & hugs to you & your family.

Though I wish from the bottom of my heart we had all met under other circumstances, it means so much to have all of you wonderful women to walk down this lonely road of grief with.
