It has been almost a year since I have lost my little angel Nevaeh and I still have breast milk. For some reason it has not gone away yet. When I had my son before Nevaeh I dried up when he was five months. Could it possible that it is not drying up because I am on birth control? I have tried to rap my breast, take tylenol, Nyquil and all anything and everything that says not to take it if you have breast milk. I asked my doctor and he just kinda ignored me when I asked him what to do.. Any advice on how I can get rid of my milk? It is extremely hard knowing that I am still producing milk and I don't have a baby to feed. It is a constant reminder of her not being here. Please, any advice???

I would try calling a lactation consultant or La Leche League.If they know how to increase milk production mabey they know how to make it dry up. Im so sorry for your loss, I hope this helps.

I would call a lactation consultant as well. They should have one at the hospital where you gave birth. Also, your doc should NOT be ignoring you on this, it's very insensitive of him to do so and there are things they can do to help your milk dry up.

I had this same problem, since it wasn't leaking out all the time my doc said the reason I was still producing was from stimulation, such as when me and DH have sex and what not. If it is a lot, like the other girls said I would consult with a lactation consultant.

I am just about 6wks post delivery and still have milk at times also. I resumed birth control 3wks ago and it did slow down but hasn't dried up completely. I am very careful not to be stimulated!

Yes, cabbage leaves in Your bra, sounds crazy but it's been proven to work. Also, try not to stimulate the breasts - good luck

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
