I need a little extra support

On May 28th I deliverd a stillborn son at 21 weeks. I was so devestated and shocked that this had happened. I went back to work 4 days later. I figured that if I stay busy things will just go back to normal. Well on June 19 I found out that I lost the baby due to a blood clot in the placenta. It freaked me out. I went to the ER the next day because i was having chest pains and I thought maybe I had a blood clot as well. They didn't find anything. That following weekend I was back at the hospital because I was having really weird feelings in my head so I had a cat scan and that too came out fine. Come to find out everything was from anxiety. I have since excepted that there is nothing wrong with me but I have begun to focus on my breathing and I don't know how to overcome this. Ive never had to grieve for anyone close to me and I guess I am just really scared. I have started a low dose anti depressant and counseling. Wich I think I need to find a new one because I dont think she is helping me. Have any if yiu ever reacted this way. I feel so lost. I can't even remember what I use to think about before all this. All I know is I was happier and now I'm just a nervous wreck that can't focus on anything but her breathing. Any support and advise will be greatly appreciated.

I am so sorry that you are having to go through this. I am sorry that another mother had to join this group...it makes me so sad...

I know that I reacted with some anxiety when I delivered my Angel, I think everyone does to some extent. Everyone on this board is extremely supportive and will be here anytime that you need to talk.

I am praying for you and your family.

My anxiety still to this day can get out of hand. I am normally a very strong individual who now sends her husband into the pharmacy to get her needs because I used to work there and everyone knew I was preggos. I'm dreading going back to work in a week and a half but I can do it, not planning on being their long though. Anyways if you ever need to talk, or hell just chit chat about television I'm game.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my daughter on May 5th also at 21 weeks. I am not sure of the exact cause of death. I wish I knew a way to tell you to cope with this... unfortunately, there is no right answer. You just have to take things one day at a time, don't push yourself too hard and don't expect yourself to "get over it" any sooner than you are. You will never get over the loss of your son but don't expect yourself to think things should go back to "normal" so soon. There is no normal life after the loss of your baby.

I lost my son on May 27th. I have gone through A LOT of losses in my life but this is beyond anything I have ever felt or dealt with, I too have had intense anxiety and my counselor says "it's normal" it pisses me off when she says that because feeling like your head is going to explode and your chest is caving in is NOT normal. I have considered taking some anxiety meds but I haven't yet. I am sorry for your loss!
