Hey all I have been experiencing yet another crisis in my relationship with Sophia's daddy. I may finally be facing the end of our relationship.
I feel like I stayed too long because I felt like I had a responsibility to keep our "family" together even after we lost Sophia. In the year after she died he cheated on me, stayed out until midnight weekdays and very frequently all night long Thursdays Fridays and Saturdays, sometimes I would not see him all weekend. All I can say is that I stayed because her was all I had left and I loved him and saw that he was drowning his grief in alcohol, (he was told by 3 drs that he was probably infertile, so Sophia's death really hurt him).
We separated for 4 months and since he has not done any of those things. I Won't get into why we are having problems now, I really just wanted to post to ask all of you if you faced similar problems following your baby's death and how you all are dealing with the inevitable relationship problems that occur after such a devastating loss.

It is still early days for us as we only lost Emma on 7 August. We're going for counseling once a week which I think helps a lot. My husband and I are not grieving in the same way and by having an objective third party to talk to it forces us to see each other's point of view. Having said that, it only works if you're both prepared to share.
I'm sorry this is happening to you, not only do you have the heartache of having lost little Sophia but also the loss of your husband. My heart aches for you and please know that there isn't a day that goes by that I'm not thinking about you and sending positive thoughts your way.
