I just saw this posted on another stillbirth support group, this website rents out fetal heart monitors for about $25 a month from what I heard. For any moms who are considering trying again, this would be such a huge weight off our shoulders. Good luck *HUGS*

Unless they are as sophisticated as the ones used at your dr office I was told by a specialist not to use the home fetal heart monitors, like the one's you get at wal-mart, because they are not good quality and will scare you when you don't hear the heart beat or it sounds strange or different than it does when you hear the ones at your appointments, just fyi bc I've checked into them with a dr in contemplation for my next hopeful conception.

Thank you for sharing. Either way I think I am going to get some heart monitor. I haven't done much research yet since I am only 7 weeks and think getting one too soon will jinx me. I am also going to ask my dr. Thanks

Congratulations on your pregnancy!!!!!

It is too early to start using it. You will freak yourself out because they are not sensitive enough to pick up a heartbeat that early. I think you can start hearing a heartbeat with an at home monitor around 4-5 months. We had and inexpensive one and it wasn't consistently reliable. The rentals may be better quality.

U can buy it on eBay for 40$ and theres no renting or anything im thinking of getting one once i ttc again after my af is over :)

Yeah the ones at walmart or at similar places aren't good at all and you can't even use them til late in your second trimester. I used the digital monitor from belly beats. I didn't really like it much, but could find the heartbeat okay. It disappeared during contractions though and that was annoying.
