I went and got my daughters name tattooed on my right wrist. It was my first ever tattoo and I always said that I was going to get one years ago and never ever got the courage and to even know what I wanted. To have my daughter's name branded on me means the world and it just goes to show that I will always have a piece of her with me everywheres I go and people can see her name and remember her as well or even ask who Zoey might be. I love it! best thing I have EVER done!!!! :)

I will be getting a tattoo. Thankfully, a lady in my in person stillbirth group is a tattoo artist. I have been 4 times in the past to get one and chickened out every time but this time I am getting it done.

Odd that tattoos came up! Not what I was first thinking when I read the question but - I never wanted one- until after Rebekah died. I still haven't gotten it but one day. I want the best artist I can find/ afford to do it. That will definitely be something different for me!

I organized a remembrance walk in my area last October. The feedback was incredible and now it's scheduled to ne an annual event. That has been life changing. I was asked to speak at a state convention for social workers about infant bereavement. While I'm not usually timid about public speaking - this was different. It wad about me and my baby and my journey. I'd have to day that was life changing for me and for several who attended. I had s few social workers come to me after to thank me and express that thru my speaking they had a whole new understanding of what a mother goes through after the death of her child.

My baby had given me a strength I never knew possible.

I went yesterday to get a tattoo of her foot on my foot. I never ever thought I would get a tattoo, but I couldn't be happier to have her print on me. Every time I look down, I see that cute little foot. It makes me feel close to her.

I feel the need to live life fuller now, like now I fully understand how short and delicate life is. I think about how my hubby sky dived a couple years ago and I was too scared. I would totally do it now. Why not experience that in this life, we only get one life. I wish I had a job that was more meaningful and had some sort of purpose. But I have been told, and I agree, that during the grieving process it is best not to make life changing decisions, like switching careers and moving. For now, I'm just trying to enjoy life more fully. I have seen friends and family in the past month that I haven't seen in years. I've rekindled relationships that I've let dwindle. That's been very rewarding. I'm currently organizing 30-40 people for a March of Dimes walk. But raising funds for a good cause just is not quite as fulfilling as I had hoped. I 'm still looking for a cause that makes me feel like Evan's passing will mean something good.

I too will be trying for another child, too. I think being a mother will be very fulfilling. A friend recently told me how she thinks "God doesn't give people the want to have children unless they are meant to have children." I have faith she is right.

I feel ya on this, and I'm still looking for ways to 'live life'.

Quitting my full time professional career to be a stay home mom to my 5 year old and baby due in Sept (lost my son at 3 weeks in nov). Decided life is too short..heck with the money....
