I have a friend who is due with her 2nd baby in about two weeks. I'm going to give her the Desitin and baby wipes that I have since they probably won't be any good by the time I get to use them. My question is, how long are diapers good for? I was given a box of the newborn size, which I think will be too small for her baby. I would like to start ttc sometime next year but I didn't know if the diapers would be good, say a year and a half- two years from now?

I dont think diapers expire. If youre not sure though maybe go to the brand names website and see. Sometimes sites like huggies have areas where you can ask questions about the products. Thats my best guess. Hope this helps.

I agree, I don't think that they expire. I still have a bunch of diapers that were for Gannon, his first birthday in heaven is next Monday, and I plan on using them for my rainbow when she comes.

Just think....they take hundreds of years to biodegrade in the ground. They're definitely not going to biodegrade in our nor our rainbow's lifetime. Save them! I'm totally with you on not wanting to get rid of your baby things...I've got a basket full of cloth diapers that has been sitting in the laundry room for 2 months. ...not to mention a closet, as well as a dresser full of baby clothes. : (

yes and no a dipper does have a experation date but they are good for several years and even far past that. when I was preg with my rainbow I ran into a bog clerance sale of pampers and it was because they were going out of date but I got them and used them till they were gone and that was like 6 months latter I would keep them for a while

I was going to say...all that plastic, etc., must last a long time! If they were given to you, why not pass them along? If they mean something to you then by all means "hand them down" to your own rainbow!!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
