yesterday i have been to my post partum check up and i got all the records from my doctor.which she gave me while i was leaving. After i came back home i read through my records and in the pathology reports of my placenta i see this term "chronic chorioamniotis" .being a microbiologist i immediately knew what it was and was surprised that my doctor never mentioned it to me when i have been to her for 2 week check up after my c-section. She still tells me that "i dont know the reason for the still birth" . and also she treats me now as a piece of trash as i am not pregnant anymore and that she does'nt have to take care of me as iam "not important"right now.
I am so mad at her right now for not talking about the pathology results or any kind of results. What ever i ask her she answers that "it is common".how common it is to have a still birth with common problems??and also its been 2 months since i had c-section and i still feel some tenderness above my incision area and feel some kind of knots from inside little above the incision area.i asked her and she replied that it would take 6 months to completely recover from all the pains and tenderness and said"it is common". i never had any kind of pain or tenderness or anything in my first pregnancy and was going to school with full time lab within 3 weeks of c-section. I am scared to death thinking about all these and "if i would be able to get pregnant and deliver a healthy baby in future".any advise on how to go on with it?

I'm sorry she's treating you like that. If I was in your shoes I would consider switching doctors and the next time youre thinking about getting pregnant I would make an appointment to discuss these issues with the new doctor. I hope it gets better. Hugs and love~ Jessie

I would definitely seek a new doctor/second opinion. Even if what she is saying is true (which sounds like maybe it isn't), there is no reason why you should be treated poorly or your concerns not be taken into account. And no one knows your body better than you so if you feel like something is wrong then you should be seen by a doctor that you trust. It will probably also help relieve some of your worries about being able to carry another child (although I don't think any of us will ever be "worry-free" about carrying another child). I hope that you do seek another doctor and that they are able to give you some answers.

If I were you I would make an appointment to see a Perinatologist or a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist for a consultation. These specialists deal with high risk pregnancies so they have seen just about everything. Take your pathology reports with you and get their opinion on them. You can also find out what your risks are for any future pregnancies. The MFM doctors that I saw before and during my rainbow pregnancy were very thorough and did everything in their power to make sure that this baby survived. I wish you the best in your journey. Your grief is still so raw so be kind to yourself and allow yourself to heal.

Find a new doctor. Even if yours is "right", she's having a hard time relating to you and you are not happy with her. We loved our doctor, but we wanted to go somewhere else because he seemed to not get past his own discomfort and emotions about our loss. He actually would not let us out of an appt. with him because he wanted "closure." Well, I hope he got it. In the meantime, we are looking for a new doc.

I hate that your Dr. is treating you so poorly!! Let me say first and foremost I would find a new Dr.!! I have two children that I delivered my first two children via c-section and I was really sore for months after the second section. My last baby we lost at 21 weeks due to "Slap Cheek" exposure in the womb. We were informed when my Dr. took over an hour explaining everything to us from the pathology report of the placenta. It has not made accepting this tragedy any easier except I now know that this cannot ever happen again. I would really recommend you sit down and write out all and any questions you can think of and then find a new Dr. that will take the time to hear your concerns however large or small they may be!! I can honestly say that now that I have all of my concerns addressed I can actually think about the future without the fear! God Bless!

Thankyou so much for all your advises.it makes me feel really concerned with all your advises .I will surely change my doctor ..but i am waiting on her for the genetic results and other records needed from her.then i would start fresh with new doctor and new city.my husband wanted to move away from this city ASAP.I truely needed this support to go on with my present condition and life so that i will atleast think about the future. I am scared to think and plan for the future as "nothing will go as planned"and i learnt it the hard way.so i will leave everything as it is and now i have learned few facts in life that no problem or hurdle is as bad as losing the baby.so i became strong in handling the problems a better way.but my heart always aches for my baby.i melt down and lose hope in life everytime i think of my baby.i cannot stop thinking of her for a sngle second.I feel so isolated and lonely in my own world of deep dark hollow .its like i am a living statue wandering without any directions and hope in life.Thank you for listening
