I wanted to get the opinions of the ladies on here regarding a troubling call I received from my OB the other day. My husband and I had decided to see a fertility specialist so I had to have them get my medical records from the OB who I had at the time of the loss of my baby. For those unfamiliar with my story, I lost my son at 38 weeks in May. We had an autopsy completed at the time that came back inconclusive. Like so many other families we had to face the fact that there seemed to be no answer as to why our baby died. Anyway, the other day someone from the OB office called and inquired as to why we were seeing another OB and was wondering if there was something wrong. They also said that the release of information said it was seeking a second opinion. The call sounded somewhat shady to me. I got the impression that the OB office was possibly concerned that we were taking legal action or looking further into the death of our baby. Since the autopsy had come back with no explanation of the death of our son, we had just decided to let it go and begin the healing process. Now after receiving that call it just makes me wonder why my OB office would be so concerned about us possibly getting a second opinion. Do you guys feel we need to look further into this or just let it go as we had already done? We are definitely not litigious people but if there was some wrong doing perhaps we need to look into it. I am confused! Let me know what you all think.
