Stillbirth Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have been impacted by a stillbirth. A stillbirth occurs when a fetus which has died in the uterus, during labor, or during delivery exits a woman's body. For help and support, share your experiences and learn how others coped. Don't forget that you are not alone.
This is just your time to grieve and that's okay ... everything in us is geared up to care for our little ones, so it is no wonder that our arms and hearts ache.
Celebration and joy will come, just as sure as this is your time to grieve now, there will also be a time for your to celebrate once again.
Knowing that the grief does not last forever, somehow made it more bearable for me.
God promises to draw near to the brokenhearted and I believe He did that for me and I believe He will do that for you....
God bless each one of you ...
I am so sorry about your Kowen, and congratulations on your new pregnancy. I imagine it must all be a mixture of emotions. I lost my first and only child to stillbirth, her father walked out on me in my first trimester of pregnancy, I moved back in my my dad after Sinza died, and four months later Daddy also died from a heart attack. So I can empathize about feeling alone. I lean a lot on my God, who says in his word that He will never leave me nor forsake me. I join support groups for stillbirth moms, and when I the silence in my alone house is deafening, I put on my trainers and take long walks.
I am actually 23 weeks pregnant again. so we can be prego buddies through this emotional roller coaster!
There are really no words anyone can say to you because we all heal differently and face different challenges. When I first lost Collette I didn't want to talk to anyone and my friends weren't much help at all. I wanted to fall onto everyone have them and my husband pick up the pieces. But honestly the only one who could do that was me. You can't lose yourself...you are a strong person....and believe me that empty space hurts more than you could have ever imagined. Kowen is looking after you, your daughter, husband and especially this new baby. He is making sure everything will be okay. I believe all the babies we have lost are with each other and our family members who have past and making our lives better.
With this new baby growing inside of you that void will not be completely filled because we will never forget the babies we have lost. But this new baby will help with our healing. And that is the most important thing. Stay strong!!
