My daughter has a hard enough time going to her dad's every other week b/c of the step mother. She always makes remarks about me etc and they have a drinking problem. Back in July my daughter witness the step mom hitting the dad etc. So on saturday when I talked to my daughter I could tell something was wrong and that she had been crying. I kept asking her what was wrong and all she would say is she would be ok. My ex got on the phone and said there was a big blow out and he knows I am going to take my daughter away from him. When my daughter came home on monday she had marks on her arm. I asked her what happened and she said she doesn't remember. After further questioning she told me that saturday night dad & step mom got into fight, sm kicked dad off porch and continue hitting him so my daughter who is only 8 tried to stop it and the step mom grabbed her by the arm and started shaking her when left the marks. Later that night SM & dad were in the house talking my daughter went to go inside and SM yelled at her telling her to get out of her house and grabbed her again.
I filed a police report called DHS and per the police officers request went to file emergency VPO which the judge denied but we have a hearing on 9/21/10 for regular VPO. My daughter is supposed to go back on monday and is terrifed to b/c she doesn't know what is going to happen. She said the SM made the remark for her to call her mom and she would beat my A&& to the ground. What is wrong with the system???????????//
