Spouses of Transgender Community Group
Being transgender it's not easy but neither for their spouses. This group is created with the intention of helping and getting to know others that are in. the same situation or to just educate those that are on the other side of the fence and want to know how does it feel or how would it feel to be a spouse of a transgender person. The main objective of this group is...
I'm sorry you are having to deal with this. I've had the same feelings. And I am probably one of the woman you are talking about when you mention having it all wrong lol.
The only thing I can tell you is this: You have to think of yourself first. I would consider it lucky that you aren't married yet and don't have biological children together. I wish I knew before locking myself down with this person basically for the rest of my life (we have 2 kids together.)
Ask your logical self these questions:
- Does it make sense to commit yourself to someone that is so abusive and cares so little for you? You have already given him 3 years and you have tried to be a part of the relationship but here you are, just heartbroken.
- Does it make sense to bring innocent children into this? To have a parent behaving the way you have described?
- How would you feel 10 years from now if you did get married and had kids and things were the same as they are today? Sure you would have the child(ren) you so desperately want, but at what cost?
Try thinking logically, without making excuses for him or thinking about all of the hopes you had for your future. Only you can pick up the pieces of what your life has become and put it back together the way that fits best for you.
