My partner still wants to have sex but seeing them with long hair, painted nails, make up and in womens clothing just is not a turn on for me at all. I'm a straight cis female and I am finding myself growing less sexually attracted to my partner. Does anyone have any tips on how to deal with this?

Hi , understand , Inwould feel the same. Also straight not attracted to women. Talk about this with your partner, may help both to find a compromise that can work for you both.

Hi. I'm in the same boat. My partner thinks I'm unreasonable not wanting him dressed in the bedroom. I find it a turn off. It's leaving me feeling very alone and low.

Kristine, what kind of compromises are there? What have people in this situation done that work? Maybe I am lacking imagination but I can't even think of possibilities apart from one side "faking it" for the other OR no sex. Both seem sad.

Lots and lots of communication. There are other ways to have sex (depending on how you define it, I mean get off together) that might be more congruent with your sexual orientation.

I got this advice from the Katie Couric special on Nat Geo this summer. An older couple was being interviewed about how they made it work. The cisgender wife talked about their relationship in a natural way and still identified as straight. It struck a chord in me.
