Spouses of Transgender Community Group
Being transgender it's not easy but neither for their spouses. This group is created with the intention of helping and getting to know others that are in. the same situation or to just educate those that are on the other side of the fence and want to know how does it feel or how would it feel to be a spouse of a transgender person. The main objective of this group is...
And yes, it's not just a 'one event' stressor, like you say, our partners aren't suddenly going to not be trans any more. As if.
And from what I've seen on here, most of us seem to have reacted in a pretty similar way to the revelation that our men are not in fact our men at all :( Nothing abnormal.
But then, I don't know if I have adjustment disorder. I have pretty well been able to carry on with life as normal (all my crying and stressing has been totally private). Just with this horrible scared sinking feeling that it always there, in the background.
Take care, always thinking of youxxxx
Sylph, that horrible sinking feeling in the background is so relatable. I wish it weren’t, but it’s good to know we aren’t alone.
Regardless of the diagnosis, how have you been feeling lately GR? Have things been better? That's the most important thing.
