Married women follow the law by getting marriried before God and getting a marriage license. If our H chooses to break that vow an bring in an OW, both should be held accountable for their own bad choices. This bad choice should not have any negative consequences on the wife and children born LEGALLY in the marriage. A marriage is a contract. The OW should be held accountable for any lost income to the H's family through child support and be required by law to reimburse both financially for this and through mental house counseling for wife and kids.

I know this is an older post, but I'm wondering how each of you are doing in your situations? I am at the beginning of a similar situation and am having a hard time with figuring out my feeling at each step. We are at a point where custody is going to be an issue and I'm sure the OW will be very difficult.

Take it in little steps. Your feelings will be all over the place. My suggestion is to recognize when your feeling low or angry. Let your H know and adk him to give you space with oc.

It took me nearly 3 years to have some sense of normalcy with my situation. I rarely feel triggered by oc anymore. He is a part of our life and I'm fine with that. But I can say I did backslide a few times before I got to this place.

Be patient and ask your H to do the same.
