SOBs Significant Others of Borderlines Community Group
Spouses and family members of people who have borderline personality disorder (BPD) are often victims of violent behavior, and frequent physical and emotional abuse . There is typically conflict in the relationship and in the individuals who are committed to maintaining the relationship in the presence of this disorder.

early on in the relationship with my bp SO, i did a lot of begging and pleading for the behaviors to change.
that didn't work. it only made him feel worse about himself, and make him lash out even more!
while i don't have any personal concrete solutions in these types of situations, i can say that lately i have been putting my foot down when i feel that something is unfair. it's hard, sometimes, to see through the blame and manipulation, especially when you love a person so much and want to believe her/him. but i just have to trust and believe in what you know is right, and walk away from what i see as inappropriate behavior. when walking away isn't an option, i try to stand up for myself. but the anticipation of his reactions can be scary as hell, so i'm still working on that... easier said than done is my own slogan for the week.
It would be far better to focus on the positives in your life than on the negatives in your relationship.
