I am researching NRTs and will start using them again. I need help.
Life is full of stress....it's never gonna go away, you just need to deal with it differently.
Going without the NRT did NOT work.......so go back to what was working and stick to it...ok?
Get a new plan on how you will deal with stress and triggers and be ready.....have your plan in place.
If you ask for help and nobody is here....have a backup plan. I came here late one night and asked for help.......Nobody was here, so I went to bed....problem solved.
How did you handle stress before you became a smoker? Did you have a hobby? Is there a hobby or something you want to get involved in, but have kept putting it off. Pursue that and keep yourself busy, busy, busy.
Now go douse your cigarettes with water and throw them away. Get rid of ALL lighters AND ashtrays.
Get back on the horse and go get that positive attitude...ok?
You can do this and give yourself a ^5 for getting right back up :)
I too lost my quit and this time I am having trouble keeping hold of my restarted quit.
Its a nasty addiction so quitting and staying quit isnt easy
Its wonderful that you have rested your quit. Be proud of yourself for that
I think NRT is very helpful and maybe we need to use it for a longer period or at least until we feel our quit can withstand halting the NRT
I know people who have used it for a long time and I have heard people also will stick a patch on if their thoughts are telling them to smoke. Better a patch than a cigarette I say
Anyway well done on the quit
