Shell7 posted on another thread that she'd had a smoking dream and it was freaking her out. I thought it would be good to address this issue in its own thread.
I've had a few smoking dreams, too. Pretty much everyone who has quit has had at least one.
I don't see any reason to get upset over them. You haven't actually smoked, and they are not moving you back toward smoking. I believe they are just the brain's way of processing the loss of something that has been such a large part of its existence for so long. Much like you would have a pleasant dream of a loved one who has passed on.
In my first dream, I was walking across a bridge when I realized I was smoking. I thought it an odd thing to be doing since I'd quit. Then it occured to me that it was a dream. It was quite pleasant (all of the "good" and none of the "bad" of course) and it *was* a dream, so I figured I'd just finish the cig and enjoy it. LOL. Just as I tossed the butt to the river below the bridge I woke up.
In my second, I was on a bus my ex was driving. All the seats were full so I was standing in the step well by the front door. Everyone on the bus started lighting up, the bus was filling with cigarette smoke, and my ex wouldn't open the door to let me out. (ok, there's more to that than just smoking)
There was a third, but I honestly don't remember it right now. Must not have made much of an impression. :)
Stay strong, stay smart, stay quit (and sleep well).

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
