Alma--On the toic of phlegm... I finally don't have anymore. I think after a month I finally coughed it all up. I never sounded that bad I don't think but still grateful to have it all gone.
I've been listening to my dad cough for the last ten years,, dry,, but this people in the hospital sounded awful, like they were coughing their last breath.
My quitting battle was like a year, yes, no, yes, no, quit, smoke, quit, smoke and lots of excuses to continue smoking, money has never been a problem nor a motivator to quit. When my mobility was compromised, that was an issue, because I hated depending of others to buy for me. Then those hospital events, was the drop that spill the cup, I had no cough, but spending the night next to someone that doesn't seem able to sleep at all, was a wake up call. I'll be a month on the fifteenth and this time I feel totally free.
