Breaking away from the physical habit, holding the cig, tapping it,everything we did with that smoke in our hand. That is just 1 part of the addiction that the NRT's really help with.

Vit b complex helps with the urges and having loads of fresh fruit and healthy snack food about. I get the sugar urges and try to stick to fruit sugar to help with this. I am on week 3 now and. Well I had a cig yesterday but only getting small urges today.
You are still going to have to come off the nicotine at some point and then you will still have the 3 days of strong urges. Just seems like a money making replacement for the tobacco industry to me. I think it is naughty. If you set yourself up well for the 1st 3 days you should be able to do it.

I also think it is horrible how much they charge for the nicotine aids. I have 3 friends who have been trying to quit for years and they have tried everything!
How about hynosis???? I have heard that can be very effective.
the NRT's don't work for me, cold turkey worked in the past but I was really ill, the lozenges do give you a hurly throat and the gum I can't bear. Cold turkey seems the most effective way, I am preparing to quit again and will go that route.
It is a mind set, and once your mind is set, nothing will stop you.

I agree with above, whatever works is good, I tried cold turkey too, felt like a cold turkey also, I know some can do it that way but for me I needed help
