I just talked to the on-call doctor (my doc is on vacation and he said x-ray was negative Yeah!!!!
Did say their was hyper-expansion in the lungs. I don't know what this means but when I typed it into google it seems to be a symptom of emphysema which I don't know if I do or do not have I will have to wait for doc to get back to find out for now I am just relieved that I don't have lung cancer! I am still staying a nonsmoker. I know it is only day two but I just can't stop thinking about it, as if I didn't do anything in my life but smoke. Having a hard time coming up with something to do. I feel real depressed.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
AS far as your quit... depression is normal. You miss those things. You will be ok. It all gets easier all the time. Dont say just Day 2. Day 2 is HUGE! Day 2 is a test.... Just think.. in about 24 hours, you will have no nicotine in your body! You can totally do this!
Have a great day!
Celebrate your wonderful news and vow to start something new - a hobby or interest that could help take your mind off smoking.
2 whole days is fantastic you have done amazingly well to go that far - if you can do that you can do anything.
Remember all of that money you will save and remeber to treat yourself cos you deserve it!!!
I found that for the first few days i was manic and when i really felt a strong urge to smoke i would pace up and down the house or rock and fidget uncontrollably if i was sat down!!!
However, it DID pass and it WILL pass for you.Keep coming onto DS, read advice and worries from others. It heped me so much receiving advice from other members but it also helped me when i gave advice to help them too.It made me feel stronger and want to follow my own advice.
Keep strong and remember why you are doing this xx
Since you read the Rewards, Nicotine, and the Brain article, you know the depression is normal and temporary.
Congratulations on your second day quit, rinkpa. That is super!
