Sleep Apnea Support Group
Sleep apnea is a common sleep disorder characterized by brief interruptions of breathing during sleep. People with sleep apnea partially awaken as they struggle to breathe, but in the morning they may not be aware of sleep disturbances.
more positive thinking please
you don't say how long you've been on the machine...how you came to use nasal "mask"...are you speaking of nasal pillows or a face mask? you have a fairly high pressure ray, it is possible you are taking the mask off in the night?
if you haven't been getting good rest even a few weeks or months after being on the machine, I would contact doctors office. The machine is new but it could be set wrong...too low...too high...etc...tech's do make mistakes now and then...they are human after all. If its only a couple days, give it a chance.
No matter which, if it continues, you do really need to call your sleep doctor. Take care of yourself...good luck
I know I'm getting tons of benefits from my CPAP but a lot of days I'm tired and not feeling awake but I know that it's my sad mood that makes me that way. Depression can make you feel tired even when you've had a ton of rest. I'm not suggesting this is YOUR problem, I'm just saying there could be other reasons for feeling this way.
Hang in there, use the machine taking a nap and all night - sleep apnea is a killer, a scary one! Best of luck to you!
