I woke up with water in my mask...and i do not have my humidifier attached. The supply company said it is from the humidity in the air and to try a hose cover. I ordered one thru amazon. $7 vs. $16 thru supply company. Anyone else ever have this problem??

I did at first, but I found that if I place my machine below my bed, about a foot from the floor, any condensation runs back down the tube into the water tank.

I also covered my tubing with warm fuzzy material.

I get that all the time and never knew what to do for it thanks for the info about a hose cover.

TC40 and april47, have you tried a humidifier? I have never had a CPAP without one. You may need to use a heated hose though.

April..glad to help! :) i never have used the humidifier it came with. I have just never bothered with it.

Hi, my c-cap came with a humidifier but i found out that i also needed a climate hose. Cant remember exactly what it does. You may want to ask ur dr abt it. All i know is that it helps a lot. Hugs

Actually the cover for the hose may work just as well.

TC40,

You have been given perfect advice. The machine should always be lower than your head. This will help with some of the condensation.

As you have stated, you ordered a hose cover. This will also help.

Another idea is to purchase a humidifier which will cut down on the condensation.

I have to admit, this is a pretty annoying problem to have. If you live in a humid area, it will cause more condensation in your hose.

I got the hose cover, didn't help. Still alot of water in the mask. I am currently using the True Blue mask. It has a gel pad in the nasal cushion and forehead pad. So, i busted out my old mask to see if the same thing happened and it was bone dry. I honestly think the gel could be leaking.my equipment provider said they have never heard of that happening. They are going to send me a replacement cushion. So we will see...in the meantime , i will use the foam cushion.

I have one with a heated water tank but don't use it unless I start to get nose bleeds . I always turn my cpap on about 3 to 5 min before I lay down , there has been times where the moisture in the air has settled in the blower of the machine and then with no where to go builds up over night . Or if I am starting it get a cold and my nose is runny a little it will make my mask moist . Something I also do before I put my mask on is make sure my nasal passages are clear ( blow my nose ) .
