Sleep Apnea Support Group
Sleep apnea is a common sleep disorder characterized by brief interruptions of breathing during sleep. People with sleep apnea partially awaken as they struggle to breathe, but in the morning they may not be aware of sleep disturbances.
I have taken mine off but not very often. I don't like my mask and need to get a new one. I was told it needs to be replaced every 6 months. I never do that.
My uncle has this real bad and almost died two times. The last time he got up and went to the bathroom and came back and laid down without it and that was the last thing he remembered before he woke up in the hospital.
I am sure he has it worst than I do but I don't want to take the chance.
I am feeling a little better now but sometimes I still feel I need a nap.
If I get up from the computer and walk around and go out of the room it will go away. Sometimes I just give in to it though.
My male cousin said it has changed his life. I am sure it has made my life better but not sure I can say it has changed my life dramatically. I am glad I have the machine though.
I can't believe the people who won't use theirs. I have a friend who has heart problems and won't use hers.
I wish I didn't have to put it on every time I lay down but I do and that is fact I just accept.
I think about people who had sleep apnea before we had the machines and masks and had to just suffer with it.
I would snore so loud people couldn't stand it when I went to visit with my daughter and her family.

I have anxiety at first when I put it on but as soon as I get a deep breath I put it back on.
I had nasal surgery and that didn't help at all.
I need a new mask but have to go to my doctor so I can be sent to a new one.
I have woke up and the mask will be on my chin. I need to start wearing the chin strap.
I am thankful I have it to use.
