Sleep Apnea Support Group
Sleep apnea is a common sleep disorder characterized by brief interruptions of breathing during sleep. People with sleep apnea partially awaken as they struggle to breathe, but in the morning they may not be aware of sleep disturbances.

Ann, there is something better than adding something to the water to help you breath. I use essential oils like eucalypis oil on a pad near the intake vent of my machine. It really helps keep my nose open, even when I have a cold or am congested.
Check out http://www.pur-sleep.com/index.asp and http://www.massagewarehouse.com/itemdetail~cat~115201301~MENU~101201301~item~247+0123.asp.
I have used both sites and really like the second one better, for price. :) The pur-sleep site however, has the ceramic plate and pads to use next to your machine.
I did get on the first one and E-mailed for a brochure.
I am so glad to know there is something to help me with this problems. Thanks so much.

I finally had to get up at 6:15 a.m. because I had fought with the mask all night. It leaked back around the top of my nose. I would press against it to stop it but that didn't work for long.
I woke up sweating bad. Today if they can't give me the same mask as I had before then I will close my account there and go back to the place I did before.
Why they put all the extra stuff around the mask I don't know. It isn't necessary. The plastic around the other one breaks every 3 months but at least I have 3 months of good use out of it.
I don't know what these companies think as they make these masks worst. Doubt it is anyone with sleep apnea who are creating them.
I have a heart test today so had to get up early anyhow. Nothing wrong with my heart. They just think since I am obese and a diabetic I need this (I belong to those two groups too.)
Just had to share this since I now know why people don't use their mask. My uncle almost died two times because he took his mask off and went to sleep. He now uses oxygen at night and the cpap mask.
