I've had poor luck with the durability of this equip.

your eyes are red cause ur cpap is leaking air into them.. its also a common sign your mask is leaking.

perhaps you need a mask that really fits! I have the really small one that goes into the nose...no problems.

The masks are not put together very well, maybe that's why the Insurance company's pay for a new one every 6 months. The last new one I got makes my gums above my front teeth bleed. I went back to using my old one until it's time to get a new one again in August but I lose air with my old one. They're a pain, that's for sure!!

A few weeks ago the cheap plastic piece that the top portion of the headgear broke. Why is this so flimsy when it takes the most amount of pressure? I saw how much a new mask costs and almost fainted but luckily I found a place online that had the one part I needed for about 15 bucks. In the meantime I tied a knot around that part to try to use it. Not very effective!

The velcro on the headgear has been wearing away and it slipped all of the time. The mask would be sitting on the side of my face blowing into my eyes like Hurricane Ike. I found a strip of velcro in the fabric shot and I cut off a piece for each side and stapled it on (couldn't find a needle and thread). It now works better than brand new. You couldn't pry it apart with a crowbar now. I just worry about cutting my face with a staple is all.

Since I'm fabricating my mask like a custom chopper I was wondering if I could paint flames on it. Mabye just paint it black like a Darth Vader mask. HMMMMM?
