im on bi pap 5 lpm of o2 only at sleep..after 2 yrs ..im just now getting stable..i lost 65 pounds that didnt even help me..but the 5 litters of oxgen and the bi pap 18/10 settings did..i still cant get but 6-7 hrs a nite...

tape record yourself while asleep if not sure, play tape to doc and get a referral to a sleep lab for an overnight sleep study

Sleep apnea can be fatal, and the side effect of involuntarilly falling asleep can be fatal, say on the highway.
however, it is usually accompanied by snoring, serious, snoring. have someone record you, or film you (say with a cell phone) and look for gasping chocking expressions in your sleep.
i never experienced shaking at all, i would be curious to hear if it turns out your symptoms are caused by something else.
