At 66 and feeling more lonely than usual, although not much has changed for me i the past 17 years. Survived another close call physically and begining to feel that maybe there is a reason for me still being here. Going to start church again because I bevieve more now than I used to. Hoping to meet friends and maybe a significant other. Is this wrong?

No there's nothing wrong with that.

I think that is a good thing to do, if I could get up early I would go, used to love church and meeting others, now I just need to find one during the evening that I would like and feel comfortable, sometimes it takes awhile to find the right place that you are comfortable at. Wishing you well and church always seemed to help me to feel better.. also hoping you meet your significant other. Best wishes to you and I do believe it helps relieve anxiety for us.

I believe everyone has a purpose to be here. Church is a wonderful place for people to seek strength and peace and I wish you the best

Nothing wrong with that at all. In fact it's a very healthy approach. Good luck and all the best.

Thanks for all the encouragement. I found that Church is a safe zone. That is a place where I can go that does not include hate, gives a message that anyone could agree with and good people enjoying mutual respect for life.
