OH my god yes !... I was petrified when my son's father first moved out... even though I always felt he was useless... the fact that you had someone else there... as each day goes by it does get easier... something I never did... that I think I NEEDED to do is, taking time for myself... at least once a week.. do someone for yourself... whether it's manicure... or like I do now... I just go to the book store and sit and read for hours... reading is something I gave up being a new single mom... now I'm back in my old habits. Take one day at a time...

I am 25, been living out of my dads home since 16 and never had a place where atleast one other adult lived. I am dreaming of the day I can live in my own place. I am craving it with everything I have. But yeah, one time when my roommate went to jail for about a month I was pretty lonely and scared and insecure. But by the time he got out I was just getting used to it. Only MY friends were coming over, I had control over everything in my house. I got a small taste of that independence and I CAN'T WAIT to go back :)
Next summer. Keepin my fingers crossed. Good luck sweetie- you'll learn to love it!

good luck. i will be moving in to a differetn apartment where im the only adult. I'm also scared but excited. I think this is normal. i hope we both do well.

It's very normal to feel scared.Just one suggestion, it sounds like you need to find who you really are as a person all over again.
Take up a new hobby/ies. It does get better with time.These days I love it, and I've been alone with my children for 4 years now.
