Single Parenting Support Group
Today being raised by a single parent is not uncommon. About three in ten children live in a single parent home. The most common type of single parent home is one with only a mother. However, single father homes are the fastest growing type of family situation; 60% growth in the last ten years alone.

How do you get other mothers to stop taking over on your kids. When I was married, these mothers would not have anything to do with me. Now that I am divorced, they call my ex over for dinner along with my kids. They have even gone as far as telling the kids that they do not have to listen to they're mother and that I am an unfit mother. My kids come home yelling at me and it takes 3 days before they will calm down and talk to me. I am trying to be patient about the whole thing, but it has gone on long enough. I have tried to talk with these mothers, but they laugh at me. I do know for a fact that they want more kids, but they know that they are getting too old to have anymore. I suggested adoption, but they get angry at me for saying it. Where should I go from here without stepping over the boundries?

Are the ladies interested in your ex? I'm in a similar situation, only my children are too young to get angry about it or even understand it. But I can sympathize. My ex remarried when I was pregnant with his second child. But he tries to get my son (the one that is old enough to talk) to call every girlfriend he has had Mommy. My son only has one Mommy and as soon as he is old enough to understand, I will make him understand. I have also tried to reason with these people, but it also gets me no where. I'm sorry, I don't know what to tell you to do, I know it's hard to deal with for you. I can only imagine because one day my children will be in this position also. I wish you luck. You sound like a smart woman and I trust you will find a way to work through this.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
