Today being raised by a single parent is not uncommon. About three in ten children live in a single parent home. The most common type of single parent home is one with only a mother. However, single father homes are the fastest growing type of family situation; 60% growth in the last ten years alone.
UUUrrrggghhhh - I am soooo annoyed!!! its not good!!! I am a single parent to 2 children 9 and 8 and I just feel like a prisoner in my own home!!! My ex does see the kids which I appreciate is more that a lot of people have but I feel like he uses it like a drop in. He has the kids every other weekend fridayevening and saturday - so this month I will have 4 days off but only 2 full days!! of which I will be working overtime as I need extra money!!!every other week he will pop over in the evening for about 1 hour 3 evenings so this week I thought when he comes over I will book to go gym!! So I booked my class and paid then he says tonight he is not coming as he is going out so I guess I have to cancel my class then!!!
The kids have school trips coming up totalling over 400 - I asked if he could pay for one of the trips about 200 pounds so we told my son he could go then the other week he drops it that he cannot afford it - so yes I now have to foot the bill!!!
I am sooo hacked off - I dont even have any family that can really help me out!!! Not good!!!!

it is so hard to be a single mom roughly 25 days a month, and watch my husband parent on his 4-5 days per month.
You have to make time for yourself,find a cheap babysitter, or trade with a friend ...
I found a 12 year old girl who is very cheap as a sitter, and I use her at least once a week to just give myself an hour to myself ...
