Shyness Support Group
Shyness is a feeling of insecurity that certain people experience while being among others, talking with others, asking favors of others, etc. The initial cause of shyness can vary. Scientists have located some genetic data that supports the hypothesis that shyness is at least partially genetic.

When I was a kid I was very wary of people. I took my time finding the kids I wanted to play with. Once I found who I liked, I would open up slowly. I also liked to spend recess alone. My dad labeled me as shy and encouraged me to make friends. As I grew up I always felt like I didn't have friends even when I did have people to hang out with. (And my birthday parties were baller.)
Today I have three very unique friends and a boyfriend who talks with my friends. I am still wary of people though. In a group I take my time getting to know people. I see this type of shyness as a good part of my personality. Is it even shyness, or is it just being careful?
