Shingles Support Group
Herpes zoster, colloquially known as shingles, is the reactivation of varicella zoster virus, leading to a crop of painful blisters over the area of a dermatome. It occurs very rarely in children and adults, but its incidence is high in the elderly (over 60), as well as in any age group of immunocompromised patients.
I had shingles 2 years ago on the right side of my neck/ear/scalp. It was a fairly mild case. I don't remember anymore what meds I was on but they worked well and it went away pretty quickly. Now, I'm feeling pain where I had my shingles. I don't have the rash again and I've only found 2 little bumps which I'm not even sure are shingles. But the pain where the singles were 2 years ago is definitely there and feels the same as it did 2 years ago. Is this normal? I'm wondering if I should go to my doctor or just wait for it to go away. I'm afraid I'm going to wake up one morning and have it all over my neck and scalp again.

I don't really know how to label this but I having a rough week and I can't say it's one thing.... I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!
